A DUI arrest in Alabama causes two things to happen. First you now have a pending criminal case, second, you also have a matter for the Department of Motor Vehicles. If you have been arrested for a DUI, you can ask the Department of Public Safety for an administrative hearing, so that the issue of your license being suspended can be addressed. You only have 10 days from the date of your arrest to ask for such a hearing. Please be aware Auburn Students, a Driving Under the Influence conviction can cost you dearly.
