How to get home early

The Alabama Parole Attorneys, Walker Law Firm, believe in helping the inmates whenever possible get parole early.  There are several things that you can do to help yourself if you are an inmate in the Alabama Department of Corrections.  First of all is stay out of trouble.  To the lay people it might sound incredible but yes, you can get drugs, alcohol, and even cell phones while you are in prison.  Being caught with contraband such as these items and not doing what you are told can result in disciplinary actions against the inmate.  These disciplinary actions will become part of your record and can seriously hurt your chances of being released early on parole.  The second thing that you can do to help your self is to get your GED.  If you did not finish high school getting your GED can only benefit you and make you more likely to find employment when you are released.  If you have a GED or have graduated, many of the Alabama DOC facilities offer classes towards trades that are offered by local junior colleges.  Take advantage of these offerings as well.  Finally, the last thing that you can do to help your self is take the big programs.  Take programs such as SAP, Anger Management, and Crime Bill.  These are the programs that we like to tell the parole board our clients have completed.  If you have any questions, please feel free to post comments or contact us directly at hal@halwalkerlaw.com or calling us at 334-329-7325.
